The swimming pool out back is now gone.
Don't get me wrong, the pool is technically still there. It just hasn't been used in a long time, as it kept on draining the water. So, without being used, it slowly became a storage place for some of our unused, but not to be discarded, things. At the very least, having a lot of stuff in there is better than what happened to my neighbor's pool; she just can't keep the skaters away.
But now, as we've finally gotten a decent sum of money to fix up the pool, we decided to renovate. It dawned on us that we had little leftover to change the area around the pool, too. The very next day, we went hunting for a suitable type of tile which would work.
Unfortunately, looking around for tiles, we found out that our budget was not enough for the classier type of tiling. We didn't much like the cheaper types as the original tiles on the pool were still better. We took a vote, and then just decided to go home and lounge beside our newly renovated pool.
A friend of mine came over one day and had a chat beside the pool. He said something which interested me immensely. At the time, I didn't know but he suggested that I could add concrete tiling to the pool. The area surrounding is concrete to begin with; all that was left for me to do was find a contractor to work his magic on it.
And so that's how it happened: My friend directed me to the Concrete Polishing website, and very quickly, I met a contractor willing to help me out. He will come over the next week, and pretty soon the swimming pool will have a new polished, concrete floor. - 16477
